King Cake
- This is a Mardi Gras favorite, which is a nontraditional King Cake.
- A moist, buttery cake with a slightly crispy outer crust and two layers of cinnamon, sugar, and walnut streusel. Topped with powdered sugar glaze and gold, purple and green edible sugar on top. Optional: jelly bean or 1" plastic baby hidden inside (caution: choking hazard) and Mardi Gras beads.

- History of the King Cake: The Mardi Gras or Carnival season officially begins on January 6th or the “Twelfth Night,” also known to Christians as the “Epiphany.” Epiphany comes from a Greek word that means “to show.” Jesus first showed himself to the three Wise Men and to the world on this day. As a symbol of this Holy Day, a tiny plastic baby is placed inside each King Cake.

Cake Sizes & Options
We offer a variety of cake sizes, in addition to customized cake options.
Cakes sizes include:
- Large 9" - 16 slices: sold in plastic dome or platinum tin
- Small 6" - 8 slices: sold in plastic dome or platinum tin
- Minis 3" - serves 1 (sold in 4-packs): each cake is individually packaged in a plastic stay-fresh container or in a platinum tin
- Heart-shaped 10" - 16 slices: sold in plastic dome only
- Heart-shaped cinni-minis 3" - serves 1 (sold in 4-packs): each mini heart cake is individually packaged in a plastic stay-fresh container or in a platinum tin
Customized cake options include:
- Writing on bundt cakes is not available due to space limitations. However, there are options for decorations that say Happy Birthday. Please inquire for more info!
- Edible sugar flakes are available

Common Questions & Answers
Do the cakes need to be refrigerated?
No. Just store them at room temperature in the container they are received in and they will be fine. In the dome, they will stay fresh for 1 week and in the platinum tin 2-3 weeks. Typically, they are eaten in just a few days anyway!
Note: The Chocolate Ganache cake does need to be refrigerated after 48 hours as whipping cream is used to make the ganache.
Can the cakes be frozen?
Yes. They freeze very well for up to 90 days. You can freeze them right in the plastic dome. Just place in the freezer. They can also be frozen in the platinum tin. Just remove the cake from the tin, wrap tightly with plastic wrap and place back in the tin. If you don't have room for the tin in your freezer, just wrap tightly with plastic wrap and then aluminum foil and place in the freezer. You can wrap individual slices the same way. This is perfect when you just want a snack so you don't have to thaw the entire cake. Just thaw on the counter several hours or overnight depending on the size of the cake.
Do they contain nuts?
Some may contain either walnuts or pecans depending on the flavor of cake.
Can I request no nuts?
Yes. Please request no nuts when you place your order.
What makes gluten-free cakes safe?
They contain no wheat. In order to avoid cross-contamination, I use dedicated pans, utensils, etc. for all gluten-free cakes. I also bake gluten-free cakes separately.

Most cakes are shipped in the platinum tins to ensure they arrive safely and as fresh as the day they are baked. All cakes are shipped UPS so they arrive very quickly.
Note: The large heart cake only ships in the dome. The minis are shipped in individual 4-pack plastic packaging. Also, the chocolate cake with Chocolate Ganache cannot be shipped.
